Wild Africa: Rivers of Life

Wild Africa: Rivers of Life (2016)

Plot

Some rivers flow like veins, smooth and steady. Others pump fast and furiously, like arteries. The rivers of this great continent spread fresh water – and life – through parched desert and scrubland, through grassy savannahs and even through the deepest African jungles. More than just moving bodies of water, they tell stories, stories of the landscape and of the animals that live there. In this seven part series we see Africa as we have never seen it before. We experience the natural stories that stem from the flowing lifeblood of Africa. Each episode follows the story of one river, and we’ll discover that each river is unique. We’ll see where the river is born, how it gathers its strength, how it affects the surrounding landscape – and explore the relationship between the river and the people and animals that inhabit its banks.
